Check The Admission Process

Eligibility:

The child is eligible for our Toddler Class between 12 months from 14 months onwards provided the child is walking.

The child joining the Toddler Class will stay on in that classroom till the age of approximately 2.3 to 2.6 years, after which they will directly transition into the Primary Program

Curriculum:

Social Skills:Our toddler environment supports this need and natural tendency by offering the appropriate experiences to develop “Grace And Courtesy”, social intelligence, and empathy. Working in a “Mixed Age” community plays a huge role in the development of social skills.

Gross Motor Skills: Sound Gross motor development builds intelligence, boosts confidence, self-esteem, and the ability to assess risk. We provide many activities that build muscle memory, motor planning and develop the large muscles of the body.

Fine Motor Skills & Hand-Eye Coordination: Children learn to use their smaller muscles in the hands, fingers, and wrists which not only help them gain independence to perform tasks like feeding and dressing themselves , but also prepare their hands for writing in the future.

Care of Environment & Self: These activities teach children how to care for their own bodies and also appreciating the space around them.

Language: The development of language is one of the primary objectives at this stage. Language is weaved into every area wherein the adult offers the precise vocabulary at every step of the way. Attaching meaning to the words becomes easy when the children are holistically involved in the process.

Eligibility:

The child is eligible for our Primary Class between 2.5 years to 3 years.

The child joining in the Primary Class can stay on in that classroom till the age of 6 years.

Curriculum:

Practical Life: The Skills of Daily Living: As every parent knows, the preschool child wants to be with adults, to take part in the activities of daily adult life. The Montessori Practical Life materials allow him to do just that. When a child enters the preschool at three years of age, the Practical Life area provides the link between home and school. In the classroom, with child-sized tools that actually work, a young child is able to perform the same activities he has seen adults do: Polishing, Scrubbing, Pouring, Sweeping, (and many others). The pace is unhurried, and an adult is nearby to help if needed, but not to interfere.

Grace / Courtesy: Respect for self, Respect for peer, Respect for adults, Manners, Classroom protocol, Visitors etiquette, Meal etiquette, Introduction and greetings.

Sensorial: Exploring the World: The world is color, size, dimension, shape, form, sound, touch, taste, and smell. In order to continue her creative task of development, a child needs to satisfy and express the impressions she has already received. The Sensorial Montessori materials are specifically designed to use the child's senses to: Clarify, classify, and comprehend the world, Teach multi-sensually, Educate the senses. By appealing directly to the young child's active sensory antennae, learning is a natural result of the child's desire to explore.

Language and Reading

-Oral expression: Listening, Communication skills that include adequate verbal expression, Articulation, Vocabulary enrichment, Speaking in front of peers, Show and Tell, Student presentations.

-Reading: Phonetic sounds and names of letters, Word building skills, Decoding 3- to 4-letter words, Sight words, Phonograms.

-Literature discussions: Listening skills, Read-aloud sessions of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, creative stories.

-Writing: Simple compositions, Pencil control, Correct letter formation and spatial considerations, Simple research in conjunction with cultural activities, Beginning punctuation.

Mathematics: From Concrete to Abstract: Preschool-aged children have naturally mathematical minds. They have the capacity to reason, to calculate, and to estimate. They are intensely conscious of quantity, counting pebbles on the beach or cookies for dessert. The concrete Montessori Mathematical materials build on each other in increasing complexity so that the child using them will experience the thrill of discovery for himself or herself as part of a natural progression:

-Number recognition

-Concrete materials to explore place value: Units, Tens, Hundreds, Thousands

-Sequencing place value

-Concrete materials to perform operations: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division

Culture: We have a "cosmic" approach which allows maps, flags, booklets, and models of land and water formation to be used by the children to explore the world’s continents, oceans, peoples, and customs, thus leading to an appreciation of the human family with its rich variety.

Hindi (as a second language):

-Basic vocabulary: Animals, Family members, Colors, Clothing, Days, Months, Seasons

-Responding to common personal questions and commands

-Hindi songs

Check The Admission Process

Eligibility:

Children from the age of 2.5 years to 6 years who are completely settled in our toddler or primary program.

Ideal for children of working parents.

Curriculum:

Children who stay back with us at Bella for our Extended 6 hour or 9 hour program have the opportunity to gain more from the Montessori material.

The additional time provides them with opportunities to get creative juices flowing through interactive play and art projects. The afternoon is often a very productive part of the day when the Montessori material gets used in different, more collaborative and challenging ways. Children who stay back with us for the 6 hour / 9 hour program are provided with lunch and an evening fruit. All this extra time spent together over the course of the day helps them strengthen relationships with their schoolmates, through positive interaction and compassion for others.

Eligibility:

Children who attend Nursery / Jr. Kg./ Sr. Kg at another big school

Curriculum:

Keeping in mind the varying shift timings of big schools, we offer an array of daycare, pre-school
and after- school programs. These are designed to supplement the respective academic
programs followed at the Nursery /Jr. Kg / Sr.Kg level attended by the child.

Children come to us prior or post their school hours and engage in Montessori work,
extra-curricular activities, completion of homework, revision of school work, snack and lunch
time etc. Where applicable, we even offer a drop and pick up between the big school premises
and Bella Escuela.

This helps parents manage their work schedule with the assurance that your child's needs are
taken care of in a safe and stimulating environment - 'a home away from home'.

Curriculum:

The Montessori Mathematics Curriculum:

Teaches children to understand abstract mathematical concepts and relationships through hands-on learning experiences. Children learn to count, identify and match numerals to their quantity, relate decimal quantities and symbols, and become aware of the functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division by using the Montessori materials.

Example materials and activities include: Numerals and Counters. Hanging Bead Stair, Teen and Tens Boards etc.

The Montessori Language Curriculum:
The skills required for reading, writing and oral language are developed through hands-on experience using the Montessori language materials. Children learn letter sounds (phonics), letter identification and formation, how to combine sounds to make words, how to build simple sentences, and how to properly hold a pencil.
Example materials and activities include: Sandpaper Letters, Moveable Alphabet, Metal Insets etc..
